Lt. Stone
Thunder filled the air and lighting streamed in its path. The
room was filled with broken glass and supplies all over the
floor. Jack just studied the floor and was so disappointed.
His heart had broken at what used to be his santuary. He
used this place to heal people and now people he healed turned
on him and destroyed it. He truely felt betrayed. Jack
suddently felt the presence of someone. Raising the phaser he
looked up to find it was another starfleet personel.
"I'm sorry this happened sir," she said sympathising becuase
she felt his pain. She knew this place was his home. He loved
this place and felt it was gone. The innocence was gone. It
had been violated. It was no longer his santuary. "What will
you do from here?"
"I'm putting in my resignation," He said with a tear coming
down. He turned around to keep the nurse from seeing his tear.
He never felt so betrayed.
"Oh you can't quit doctor," she said putting her hand on his
sholder for strength. "You love your job, doctor. People need
you," she said looking at the depressed male. "Here's a person
I know. It's a different type of job but you can still do
good," she said handing him a card.
Jack read the card. It had the name of a starfleet captain on
it. He looked up at the nurse who had a fresh smile on her
face. She truely cared about the doctor and hated to see him
like this.
"I will call her," she announced as she was leaving, "and she
will be expecting to hear from you."
